Wires ... out!

All peripherals we offer for the EdgeCenter are RF wireless, meaning they don't require a cable nor a straight line of sight in order to function, which is nice ... but nothing compared to the Integrated Power line Networking option we offer on all our systems! When choosing this option, we basically integrate a 200 or 1,000 Mbps Networking device that securely transmit high throughput network streams on your home's standard electrical wires. This has many advantages, and most notably it allows you to simply plug a networked TV tuner to a Standard/Cable TV receiver anywhere in you house, and broadcast/record TV on the EdgeCenter straight away without having to plug anything else that the mains lead! And same goes for internet, music or on-demand movies streaming ... just plug the EdgeCenter and forget about wiring issues!

Hardware Human Interface

The whole idea behind Microsoft Media Center is to allow easy and immediate access to all your medias while keeping the absolute flexibility offered by a PC. Entertainment doesn't fit on a single support, a part of it is on Blu-Ray, another one on the internet, or on TV, mobile phones, etc... Aggregating all these contents requires the right interfaces on the hardware and software sides, which is why Microsoft Media Center was designed to be operated from a simple remote control: Press the green button and TV, Movies, Videos, Music, Pictures are instantly within reach. Switch to the wireless keyboard as soon as you want to explore the web, work or just ... play!
